Our Day  

Our curriculum is based on Developmentally Appropriate Practices for children.  Throughout our day the children are constantly learning, exploring and expanding their knowledge base.   Although the children look like they are just playing, they are really learning skills that are building blocks to their future education and sense of self.  

Daily Schedule
 

7:00 to 8:00 Children arrive and Free Play

(Free play consists of open center play, manipulative activities, dramatic play, table games etc)

8:00 to 8:30 Breakfast

8:30 to 9:00 Circle Time

(Circle time consists of literacy activities including reading, fingerplays, music and movement)

9:00 to 9:30 Art

(Art consists of crayons, pencils, markers, cutting, gluing, painting, stamp pads, clay etc)

10:00-11:00 Free Play (outside if weather permits)

11:00 to 11:30 Lunch

11:30 to 12:00 Free play

12:00 TO 12:15 Story Time

12:30 to 2:45 Rest Time

2:45 t0 3:15 Snack

3:15 to 5:00 Free Play (outside if weather permits)

  
     

Our daily schedule is not set in stone. It is important to allow children who are engrossed in activities the time to finish them or have adequate time/ warning to move onto the next activity.
